The Elk River Relay for Life is half way to its goal of raising $50,000 as organizers prepare for this Friday’s event at Elk River High School.
Survivor and team check in will be at 5 p.m., with team photos at 6 p.m. and opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.
Lola Driessen is this year’s honorary chair. Missie Meyer and Michelle Sonderup are the event chairs, who will welcome guests and participants.
The lumineria ceremony will be at 10 p.m. There will be a variety of themed-laps throughout the night, including a pajama lap at 11:11 p.m. and a toga lap at 4:44 a.m. There will also be a fight-back ceremony at 12:45 a.m. and a closing ceremony at 6 a.m.
