Schuldt is named Elk River Volunteer of the Month

Florence Schuldt has been named the Elk River Volunteer of the Month for July.

Her current volunteer activities include working at the Friday night dinners at the Elk River American Legion, volunteering for the Elk River Area Arts Alliance and volunteering at the Elk River Fourth of July event. She also is a liaison for Pullman Place to the Elk River City Council, volunteers in several areas at Pullman Place and is a member of RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program).

Her past volunteer activities include assisting at the Elk River Library, stuffing brochures for the chamber, Elk River Municipal Utilities and Guardian Angels, ushering at Zabee Theater and volunteering at the CAER food shelf.

Schuldt also served as an election judge for 10 years and was a county census taker.

She was recognized at the July 16 city council meeting, where Mayor John Dietz presented her with a plaque.
