Alcohol compliance to be done in Elk River

Elk River business operators who sell alcohol can consider themselves warned.

The Elk River Police Department has been awarded a grant to conduct alcohol compliance checks on all licensed retailers. Compliance checks are a tool to identify alcohol establishments that sell to underage youth.

In the next few months officers will work with an underage youth to conduct the first round of compliance checks. A second round will be conducted in 2013.
