Thomas J. McNair, long-time resident of Elk River and loving husband and father, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012.
Mr. McNair worked as a banker in Elk River for over 30 years. He was active in United Way, Church of St. Andrew, Arts Alliance, Rotary and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. An avid outdoorsman, he loved canoeing, fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will begin at noon today (Saturday, June 30) at the Church of St. Andrew, 566 Fourth St. N.W., Elk River. Visitation was Friday and will also begin one hour prior to Mass at church Saturday. Interment will be at St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery. Dare’s Funeral Home made the arrangements.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary; sons, Adam and Andrew (Kelsey); parents, Murray and Carla McNair; brother, Doug (Cecelia) of Leawood, Kan.; sister, Mary (Tim) Lyke of Ripon, Wis.; in-laws, Norm (Julie) Kastendick, Phil (Jill) Hoebelheinrich, Alan (Shirlee) Hoebelheinrich, and Diana Burrington; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
