Michael “BooBoo” Evans, 85, of Zimmerman, died in his sleep Saturday, June 9, 2012.
He moved to Zimmerman in 1955 after serving two terms in the United States Army. He married Millie Howe and worked for Pioneer Engineering in North Minneapolis for 32 years.
Mr. Evans was a member of the Zimmerman American Legion and a charter member of the Zimmerman Lions Club. He had the first hole-in-one at the Fairway Shores Golf Course in Zimmerman. He loved playing his harmonica, country western music and socializing.
A celebration of his life will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 17 at the Zimmerman American Legion. Interment is at Bellwood Cemetery. Dare’s Funeral Service of Elk River served the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 54 years, Millie; children, Nancy, Rita, Bob and Chuck; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
