ArtSoup is Saturday: art, music, food, activities
Artists and musicians will take over downtown Elk River on Saturday, June 16, with the 2012 edition of ArtSoup. There will be musical performances all day at the Great River Energy Stage, plus a puppet show, and artwork and artists everywhere.
Over 20 local artists will have booths to sell their works in this event arranged by Elk River Area Arts Alliance.
A juried exhibit by local artists will be shown inside the corner space of the Jackson building on the corner of Main and Jackson.
Oil paintings by adult students in the Harvey Schroeder Studio will be presented in a tent.
The Arts Alliance Gallery on Main Street features artwork from natural elements of stone, metal and wood.
Strolling musicians and a caricature artist making portraits will be on hand. The Community Tent will have hands-on activities for kids of all ages. Twelve local arts organizations promoting dance, music and theater will have booths and performance demonstrations.
