Newly-paved westbound lanes of Highway 10 near Big Lake will reopen mid-day Friday
The opening of the newly-paved westbound lanes of Highway 10, near Big Lake, has been postponed until mid-day Friday, June 8. The later opening is due to a slight delay in completing the bituminous paving of the shoulders, according to Judy Jacobs, communications specialist with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
A major project milestone was reached Wednesday evening with the completion of the concrete paving of the westbound lanes. Bituminous paving and grading work, along with other various activities, will continue throughout the project.
MnDOT, along with the contractors, feel the project is progressing as planned and is on schedule for an early August completion, Jacobs said.
The project includes work on Highway 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake.
