Brat Pack will kick off Riverfront Concert Series on Thursday
Brat Pack Radio, a Minnesota-based group playing dance and pop favorites from the 1980’s along with New Wave and R & B, will lead off the Riverfront Concert Series on Thursday.
Their 80’s playlist includes hits like “Don’t Stop Believin’ “ by Journey, “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi, “Jesse’s Girl” by Rick Springfield, “Sweet Dreams” by Eurythmics, and “Like a Virgin” by Madonna.
The group also makes forays into the present day (Beyonce, Timberlake, Gaga), includes plenty of visuals like knife-juggling, spinning keyboards and an LED light show, and injects humor, mainly about the excesses of the 1980’s.
Frontman Ryan Lance is a four-time Emmy Award winning songwriter and was a founding member of the a cappella group The Blenders.
The group’s web site promises “polished, high-energy, non-stop Supershow that’s seriously fun.”
These weekly free performances each Thursday at 7 p.m. at River’s Edge Commons Park are sponsored by Bank of Elk River and organized by the Parks and Recreation Department.
