Sally Nemeth, 67, of Milaca, formerly of Elk River, died of cancer Saturday, May 26, 2012, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born Oct. 3, 1944, to William and Hazel (Fadden) Holland in Buffalo. She married Edward Nemeth on Oct. 7, 1961, in Buffalo. They moved to Elk River in 1965. After retiring in 2001, they moved to Big Lake and then to Milaca.
Mrs. Nemeth enjoyed sewing, knitting and many craft projects. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, May 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca with the Rev. Jim Remmerswaal, OSC officiating. Interment was at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Casketbearers were Jeremy and Travis Nemeth, and Zachary, Clayton, Nicholas and Ethan Fisk. Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edward; sons, Todd (Patti) of Big Lake and Troy (Lisa) of Big Lake; daughters, Tane (Robert) Fisk of Dawson and Tracey (Mark) Carlson of Milaca; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandsons and their families; sister, Laverne Scherr; brother, Lester; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Doug Leo, Max, Harold and Russell.
