District to honor 13 retirees

The Elk River Area School District will honor 13 employees representing 318 years of service at the Fourth Annual Retirement Ceremony, 4:30 p.m., Monday, May 21 at Rogers Middle School (20855 141st Avenue, Rogers).

The retirees, where they served and the number of years of service to ISD 728 are listed below:

•Claudia J. DeRoma, first-grade teacher, Hassan Elementary School, 16 years

•Sharyl J. Dipprey, special education assistant, Salk Middle School, 32 years

•Glenda J. Dording, first-grade teacher, Parker Elementary School, 34 years

•Carole E. Eckstrom, cook helper and cashier, Rogers Elementary School, 19 years

•Kathryn M. Ellefson, family and consumer science teacher, Elk River High School, 39 years

•Paul R. Gunderson, science teacher, Elk River High School, 30 years

•Paul J. Gustafson, administrator of activities/athletics, dean of students, Rogers High School, 32 years

•Pamela J. Koch, health services secretary, Rogers Elementary School, 7 years

•Linda J. Korte, second-grade teacher, Twin Lakes Elementary School, 20 years

•Becki J. Ollestad, first cook, Parker Elementary School, 19 years

•Shirley A. Schmidt, supervision assistant, Rogers Middle School, 32 years

•Mary Ella Trunnell, specific learning disability teacher, Twin Lakes Elementary School, 32 years

•Jerry D. Zeise, work experience coordinator, Rogers High School, 6 years

The public is invited to attend the approximately one-hour ceremony.
