Alec Seymour had Zimmerman’s lone first-place finish as the Thunder placed third among seven teams in the first-ever Granite Ridge Conference track meet Tuesday at Little Falls.

Little Falls was the runaway winner with 210.5 points, followed by Foley 114 and Zimmerman 99.

Seymour, a senior, won shot put with 52-9, leading a 1-2-3 sweep by the Thunder with Ethan Lunning and Jake Antolak right behind him. Those three were also 4-5-6 in discus led by Seymour.

Earning all-conference status with top-three finishes are the above trio plus Storm Heyer, second on the 200; Caleb Lunning, second in long jump; and Patrick McEnaney, third in the 200.

Little Falls had seven first-places, by Derek Toso (100 and 400), Travis Spillum (long jump), Daniel Mushel (pole vault), Garrett Horejsi (300 internediates hurdles), Luke Penninger (110 highs) and the 4-by-400 relay.
