Commuter train stopped by grass fires

The Elk River Fire Department responded to a series of grass fires at 4:06 p.m. on May 14 in the area of 192nd Avenue and Ogden Street along the railroad tracks in eastern Elk River. The fires did not spread very far, but they were enough to stop train traffic through the area, including at least one commuter train that had to be halted.
