Lacrosse: ERZ girls nip Centennial 18-17, finish regular season 9-4
Eight different players scored goals as Elk River-Rogers-Zimmerman beat Centennial 18-17 to close the regular season Monday evening in Circle Pines.
Emily Antony and Kayla Mills notched four goals each for ERZ. Becca Leshovsky, Jordan McLaughlin, Emily Heid and Michelle Klimstra struck for two each, Mackenzie Perna and Alix Zierden had the others. Perna made five assists and Mills three.
In the nets Tori Herrmann stopped 10 of 27 shots while Michaela Schwartz seven goals for Centennial (6-5), Lauren Kolak added five and Kaitlyn Armstrong four.
The Elks finished the regular season 9-4 overall and 6-3 in the NWSC.
Section playoffs start next Tuesday and will be drawn up Saturday.
