Creativity and imagination ran wild at Otsego Elementary School May 4 during the first year of the Hogwarts Showcase.

The Hogwarts Showcase is an academy activity for Ms. Matchinsky, Mrs. Garbacz, Mrs. Boyce, Ms. Olson and Mrs. Erickson’s classes in grades three through five. Each class planned an activity for the showcase, ranging from fairy houses with a story, to reports on animals and other miscellaneous projects such as musical instruments.

The school as well as parents was invited to stop by the gymnasium from 2–3:30 p.m. and gain knowledge on animals and marvel at the creative fairy houses.

Julie Torresani had a display educating people about penguins. Her display stated facts such as penguins can hold their breath for up to 20 minutes, penguin colonies are called rookeries and there are a total of 17 different breeds of penguins.
