The Rogers golfers had the top three of the top four individuals in the meet and won their fifth Mississippi 8 event of the season Wednesday at Purple Hawk in Cambridge.
Corey Muenzhuber shot a career best 34-33-67 for his sixth medal in the last seven events, with five birdies plus a 15-foot chip-in for an eagle on the par 5 No. 18 hole.
Jordan Rykal shot 37-38-75 and Kyle Korva 36-39-75, tying Cambridge-Isanti’s Matt Swanson for second. Zach Hnath placed fifth with 37-39-76 as the Royals totaled 293, with Becker 327 and Buffalo 330 in second and third.
The Royals didn’t even count a 78 by Morgan Rask, while two JV sophomores, Luke Bunkers and Dylan Kline, shot 76’s on the same tees.
This was the 29th straight conference meet win for the Royals, who have 71 season points, with Buffalo and Becker next at 46.
Another conference meet will be held Thursday at Buffalo.
