The Rogers Royals scrambled back from a 5-0 deficit to defeat the Buffalo Bison 8-6 Tuesday at home, their six win in seven games.
Leah Perreault had a triple and three RBI, and Christina Hajder pitched the distance while going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Hajder gave up nine hits and two walks, striking out six, while her team rallied against one of the conference’s top pitchers, Bailey Braatz.
“Being down 5-0 early we could have just rolled over but we clawed back and took advantage of a few walks and passed balls to end up with the win,” said coach Dan Ohlgren. “It was a big win for us beating the Buffalo pitcher who can be very dominant at times.”
Perreault ripped her base-loaded triple in the third to make it 5-4, then scored on a passed ball to tie it.
Courtney Reinitz (RBI), Perreault and Abbie Lien were all 1-for-3.
The Royals are 4-5 in conference and 9-7 overall, while Buffalo dropped to 3-4 and 5-6.
Rogers will play at Big Lake on Thursday.
