Police, drug task arrest man after alleged sale of cocaine in Elk River

Investigators from the Sherburne County Drug Task Force (DTF) and members of the Elk River Police Department on May 8 arrested a 48-year-old Maple Grove man for first degree sale of a controlled substance and booked him into the Sherburne County Jail.

According to Sheriff Joel Brott, investigators with the DTF conducted an investigation into the sale of cocaine.  After investigators witnessed a sale of cocaine in the City of Elk River, the suspect was arrested without incident.

As a result of the sale of cocaine, the DTF seized the man’s 2000 Chevrolet Impala and over $300.00 in cash for forfeiture.

The suspect remains in the Sherburne County Jail pending arraignment.
