Lacrosse: ERZ boys lose to Osseo-PC on goal with :09 left

A goal with nine seconds left gave the ERZ boys lacrosse squad a heartbreaking loss Monday.

Osseo-Park Center’s Corbin Cole zigzagged through the ERZ defense for the late goal that beat ERZ 9-8 at Park Center. A swift midfielder, Cole gave ERZ fits the whole game.

ERZ (5-6) trailed 4-1, then led 7-7 and 8-7 before the hostsĀ  countered once again.

Keaton Mumm hadĀ  three goals, Matt Hauge two, and Ryan Heid, Cam Bursch and Matt Elliott one each for ERZ.

ERZ, 1-6 in conference play and 4-0 outside the conference, will play at conference co-leader Armstrong on Wednesday.
