Mary Louise Bardell, 88, of Albertville, formerly of Elk River, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
She was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Staples, Minn. to Louis H. and Edna D. (McFall) Faxon. She attended and graduated from Staples High School. On Nov. 1, 1945, she married Byrle Bardell.
Mrs. Bardell worked as a seamstress and legal stenographer. She loved to cook, but her greatest joy was being with her children and grandchildren.
She was active in the Living Waters Church of Elk River.
The funeral service was Saturday, April 28 at Living Waters Church officiated by the Revs. David Weigel and Robert Pullar. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis Monday, April 30. Funeral arrangements were made with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.
Mrs. Bardell is survived by her son, Walter L. (Cary) of Monticello; daughter, Barbara A. (James) Evenson of Annandale; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louis Faxon.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Byrle, in February; brother, Richard Faxon; and sister, Betty Berg.
