Kalvin Dieman and Sarina Staurseth won events for Spectum at the Princeton Invitational on Thursday as the Sting girls placed fifth and the boys 10th among 11 teams.
Diekman, a junior, won the 300 hurdles with 41.41 and took fifth in long jump (18-2 1/2). Chad Schwinghammer was eighth in the 3200.
Staurseth, a sophomore, long-jumped 15-2 for first place. She also took fourth in the 300 hurdles (51.24).
Becca Schultz placed third in the 100 (14.02) and sixth in the 200 (29.27). Also scoring were Noelle Diekman, third in the 800 (2:33.71); Rebecca Peterson, third in the 3200 (12:25); Kayla Zimmerman, fourth in the 1600 (5:40) and seventh in the discus (83-6); and Brittney Waterhouse sixth in the 3200 (13:03).
Big Lake won both the boys and girls titles.
