Elk River-Rogers-Zimmerman girls lacrosse pulled out its third straight win, 14-12 over the Anoka Tornadoes, on Wednesday evening in Anoka.
Leading ERZ (6-2) scoring were Mackenzie Perna with five goals and two assists, Emily Antony with three goals and four assists, while Kayla Mills with two goals and four assists.
Notching a goal apiece were Becca Leshovosky, Courtney Reistad , Jordon McLaughlin and Alleah Baltzer. Leshovosky and McLaughlin each assisted on a goal.
Reistad and Baltzer at the wings led the defensive effort. Tori Herrman faced 25 shots and stopped 13.
“She played an amazing game,” said coach Jeannette Bankes, “with picks from passes behind the net and defensively stick checked players rolling the crease.”
Katie Johnson pumped in eight of Anoka’s 10 goals. Maddie Carlos had two.
ERZ plays at Buffalo on Friday evening.
