The Elk River tennis team stayed unbeaten  with a 7-0  victory over the Champlin Park Rebels at home on Tuesday, on the heels of three victories Saturday in a home court quadrangular.

The Elks are 18-0 and ranked No. 2 in the state behind Rochester Mayo.

They won 7-0 over Totino-Grace, 7-0 over Apple Valley, and 6-1 over Henry Sibley, on Saturday, in matches played at Daytona Country Club indoor courts due to cold, wet weather.

In another match not previously reported in the Star News, the Elks won 7-0 over Blaine there Thursday.

During those five wins, 15 of the 44 match wins were by 6-0, 6-0.

Several Elk veterans notched milestones during the week. Senior Ryan Ness hit the 100-win mark (see separate article). Passing the 75-marker were senior Dylan Berger, junior Josh Chuba, and freshmen Sam and Josh Gearou.

The Elks are 7-0 in the NWSC and extended their conference win streak to 57 matches.

Next is a conference match against Osseo at home on Thursday.
