Track: Royals boys 3rd in Big Lake meet, relays strong

The Rogers boys won two of the relays and placed third among seven teams in the Big Lake Invitational on Thursday, with host Big Lake placing first by a wide margin.

The boys 4-by-200 team of Kyle Bogart,Chase Cleveland, Kent Hoover and Isaac Aanerud won with a meet record time of 1:33.6. The 4-by-800 team also won (8:39.40) and the 4-by-400 was second (3:31.70).

Caleb LeClaire had Rogers’ lone individual first, in the 800 run (2:03.98).

Hoover was second in the 400 dash (53.40). Zach Dohmen took third in the 300 hurdles (42.61) and fourth in the 100 hurdles (16.70).

Placing fourth were Kyle Bogard n the 200 dash (24.00), Reed Parent n the 3200 (10:38.53), and Hayden Sebald in the shot put (38-2). Placing fifth were TJ Scottin the 1600 (4:58.44) and Chase Cleveland in the long jump (17-4 1/2).
