A 21-year-old Anoka woman is facing possible charges of DWI and criminal vehicular operation charges following an April 27 rollover, according to Elk River Police Capt. Bob Kluntz.
Elk River Police were dispatched 2:22 a.m. to the 10900 block of 193rd Ave. on a report of vehicle rollover and a car on fire with an occupant still inside.
Upon arrival the woman and a man were laying outside the vehicle.
The vehicle was near the eastbound lane of 193rd Avenue in the south ditch facing north.
The woman admitted to driving and consuming alcohol, and the male party, who had also been drinking, was uncooperative during the entire incident, according to the incident complaint report.
Both parties sustained injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids by Elk River Ambulance. Blood was taken from the alleged driver who was admitted to the hospital for her injuries.
Police are investigating the single vehicle crash with possible DWI and criminal vehicular operations charges forthcoming, Kluntz said.
