Elk River Rotary’s Taste of Elk River coming May 17

The Elk River Rotary Club will present its annual Taste of Elk River May 17 from 5 to 9 p.m. on the upper paved parking lot at the Lions Park Center.

Steve Blexrud will perform as part of the entertainment that includes karaoke and Wildwood carriage rides.

Many area vendors will serve entrees and wine and spirits samples.

Proceeds will be used to finance Rotary community projects including a college scholarship, the STRIVE program that helps high school seniors graduate, the Adopt-a-River project and contributions to civic projects: Boy Scouts of America, Three Rivers Community Foundation Gala, and the CAER food shelf.  Proceeds from previous Tastes were used to renovate the Handke Stadium.

Contributions also go to the Rotary Foundation Polio Plus that aims to eradicate polio in the world.

BOB FM Radio, city of Elk River and the Star News are offering in-kind contributions.
