Softball: Monticello nips Rogers 5-4

The Monticello Magic edged the Rogers Royals 5-4 on Tuesday in Monticello.

Emily Watson pitched the distance for Monticello (1-4 conference, 5-4 overall) allowing seven  hits and three walks, striking out two. She got the win over Christina Hajder.

Robin Forster was 2-for-3 with two runs, Kelly Watson 2-for-3, and Carly Towner 2-for-4.

For Rogers (1-4, 3-6), Courtney Reinitz was 3-for-4 and Hajder had a hit and two RBI.

Rogers will host Cambridge-Isanti on Thursday.
