Track: Elks boys third in 12-team St. Francis meet

The Elk River boys  placed third among 12 teams at the St. Francis Invitational on Saturday.

Mahtomedi won with 146, followed by Spring Lake Park-St. Anthony Village 143.5 and the Elks 123.5. They were far out in front with Cambridge-Isanti next at 49.

The Elks had five  firsts — by Logan Grace in the 300 hurdles, Andrew Konczal in the 800, Fanaka Ndege in the triple jump, and Grace, Riley Filipovich, Konczal, Ryan Trapp in the mile relay, and Dennis Moore, Riley Filipovich, Connor Hanson and Denis Bardashevskiy in the 4-by-200.

The Elks have a small meet at Andover on Tuesday.
