Lance Cpl. Jeffrey Blake Beise Jr., 21, of Zimmerman, died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Camp Pendleton in California.
He was born Aug. 10, 1990, at Unity Hospital in Fridley to Lori (Achman) and Jeffrey Beise Sr. His family lived in Isanti for five years until 1995, when they moved to a small farm near Zimmerman.
Jeffrey loved living on the farm and spending time in the outdoors, either hunting or fishing. He entered the Marine Corps in March 2009, attending boot camp at the Marine Corps Depot in San Diego. Upon graduation he attended his Military Occupational School for Marine Corps Infantry where he graduated as an 0311, Rifleman. He would then join 3rdBN 5th Marines 5th Marines Regiment at Camp Pendleton.
Jeffrey served in Afghanistan (OEF) from October 2010 – April 2011.
According to his family, “He will forever be remembered as having a happy demeanor, sense of humor and impeccable style.”
His funeral service was held Monday, April 16 at Zion Lutheran Church of Crown.
Survivors include his mother, Lori Beise of Zimmerman; father, Jeffrey Beise Sr. of St. Francis; sister and best friend, Hannah; half-brother, Jacob; maternal grandmother, Patricia Achman of Zimmerman; paternal grandmother, Donna Beise of Ham Lake; paternal grandfather, Gerald (Carrie) Beise of Stanchfield; aunts and uncles; special friend, Kristina Zimmerman of Rogers; as well as many cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Louis Achman.
