Elk River is still looking for its first softball win after falling short at Centennial 3-2 on Wednesday.
Anna Pipenhagen gave the Elks a good chance to win as she went seven innings, striking out 10, allowing seven hits.
Cati Schroer of Centennial gave up nine hits but stranded most of them on base while striking out four.
Jayme Langebehn smacked a triple and single in three trips for the Elks (0-3). Austin Beese was 2-for-4 (double) and Courtney Jensen 2-for-4. Pipenhagen was 1-for-3 with a double.
Niki Scott was 2-for-2 with a double for Centennial (3-1).
The Elks will play at Champlin Park on Thursday.
