Robert “Bob” Gene Wroda, 75, of Elk River, formerly of Mound, died peacefully at home Thursday, March 29, 2012, surrounded by his family.
He was a proud Vietnam veteran, having served two tours of duty during his 26 years in the U.S. Army. After retirement, he joined the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier at the Elmwood Station in St. Louis Park.
The funeral service was at Huber Funeral Home in Mound Thursday, April 5. Interment was at Union Cemetery in Mound.
Memorials are preferred to Guardian Angels Hospice, 280 Evans Ave., Elk River, Minn. 55330.
Mr. Wroda is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Deanna; and daughters, Linda Sizer (Stan Smith), Cindy (Barry) Grindahl, and Kimberly (Brian) Cox; brothers, Richard (Betty), and Matt (Sandy); and grandchildren, Victoria, Amanda, Nicholas, Robert, and Addyson.
He was preceded in death by son, James.
