Scouts thank city of Elk River with Norman Rockwell print

A representative of the Boy Scouts has given the city of Elk River a framed Norman Rockwell print as a token of appreciation.

Jim Acers, representing the Central Minnesota Council of the Boy Scouts, presented the picture to Mayor John Dietz at the City Council’s March 12 meeting.

He thanked the city for its support of the Boy Scouts’ annual fundraising breakfast. This year’s breakfast is April 26.

Acers said more than 500 children in the Elk River area are involved in Scouts.

“It’s a very robust program, I’m happy to report, and it’s well supported by the community,” he said.
