Connie Evingson, jazz singer, to perform at Zabee in Arts Alliance series

Connie Evingson, renowned singer of jazz and American pops standards, will perform Saturday, March 10, 7:30 p.m., at ERHS’s Zabee Theater, in the Elks River Arts Alliance Performance Series.

Evingson’s  eight CD’s have all made top 50 in jazz in the United States and Canada.

Modern Jazz Classics says of her: “Connie Evingson is one of the most polished and versatile jazz vocalists on today’s jazz scene.” Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine calls her “the Iron Range native with silky vocal phrasing and an indelible sense of swing …”

Evingson has been a featured artist with Garrison Keillor’s “Prairie Home Companion,” the Minnesota Orchestra conducted by Doc Severinsen, VocalEssence, and the JazzMN Big Band.
