Elk River and Rogers gymnasts at the state Class AA meet Saturday evening were not at their best and nobody got on the podium this year.
Rogers senior Leah Perreault, an all-around qualifier, placed 25th with 33.7375, scoring 8.9875 on vault, 8.2875 on bars, 9.1125 on beam, and 9.35 on floor. She placed 29th on bars and 18th on floor, the two events in which she qualified.
Rogers freshman Alyssa Walton placed 16th on beam, scoring 8.800.
Elk River senior Alana Embury scored 9.1375 on floor placing 31st.
The Elks/Royals program had gotten on the podium (top six) in multiple evens for four straight years.
Julia Stedman, senior from North St. Paul, was all-around champion with 38.3375.
Eden Prairie senior Mackenzie Dent was runner-up with 38.2750, while winning bars (9.7375) and floor (9.7275).
Eastridge senior Leah Robinette won vault (9.825), and Roseville Area sophomore Katie Quigley took beam (9.565).
Roseville Area captured the team title with 149.325, edging Northfield (149.150).
