Basketball: Thunder boys blitz Mora 85-44

The Zimmerman Thunder closed in on a conference championship by drubbing the Mora Mustangs 85-44 at home on Thursday evening, their 20th win.
Nate Christensen hit 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, and Gavin Doppler and Jake Wilson scored 15 apiece.
Eleven players scored. Caleb Lunning notched 6 points, 5 assists and 5 steals.
Zimmerman, ranked No. 9 in Class 3A, is 10-1 in conference and 20-4 overall, with a one-game lead in the GRC as Little Falls and Cathedral are each 8-2. Remaining on the schedule are road games against Becker on Friday and Foley on Tuesday.
Justin O’Bert tallied 19 points and Greg Mork 14 for Mora, 2-9 conference and 6-17 overall.
This was Senior Night, with a big group of 10 honored.
