Basketball: Royals’ Schreiber picked for state all-star games
Rogers senior Michael Schreiber has been selected for the Minnesota All-Star Basketball Series, announced Royals coach Joe Belka.
The 6-foot-8 center, averaging 21 points and nine rebounds, is one of 40 seniors chosen. Four 10-man teams will play March 30 at St. Cloud State and March 31 at Macalester.
“This is very nice honor. Michael is having a great season,” said Belka. “He the first boy from Rogers to play in the all-star series.”
Schreiber, who has signed with Northern State, is also nine points short of 1,000 and could reach the milestone against Delano at home Saturday evening. He has scored in double figures every game this season.
Rogers has had two girls play in the all-star series, Casey Mann and Jennifer Dowd.
