Twenty ERHS musicians earn all-NWSC recognition
Twenty Elk River High School musicians and singer were honored at the 11th annual Northwest Suburban Conference Music Festival on Feb. 5-6.
The students attended several Sunday rehearsals and clinics with top musicians from 11 conference schools. A grand finale concert was held Monday at Anoka High School with a combined band, choir and orchestra presentation of “America the Beautiful.”
The following ERHS students made all-conference:
Band – Amanda Hookom, flute; Lori MacArthur, flute; Jordon Plachecki, bassoon; Adam Habarneh, alto sax; Willa Samuelson, french horn; Nick Griffiths, trumpet; Jayde Krauth, trumpet; Eric Riesberg, trumpet; Logan Grace, tuba; Michael Tormoen, percussion
Orchestra – Melia Willoughby, harp; Jake Esterberg, percussion
Choir – Emma Crane, soprano; Amy Honek, soprano; Kristen Rokke, soprano; Alex Humphrey, alto; Hannah Maher, alto; Candice Nemes, alto; Mitch Droogsma, tenor
