Basketball: Elk girls fall to No. 2 Eden Prairie 57-32

A struggling Elk River squad took on the No. 2 ranked team in the state, Eden Prairie, and went down to a 57-32 loss on Monday evening on the Eagles court.

Jackie Johnson sank 13 points and Samantha Trammel 11 for the Eagles (17-3).

Jordyn Sohns netted 11 for the Elks (5-16), who lost their 11th straight. Candice Nemes was next with 6.

Elk River will host Blaine on Friday.
