Basketball: Becker trips Rogers girls in overtime 64-54

The Becker Bulldogs, who were drubbed by Rogers a month ago, beat the Royals 64-54 in overtime on Monday evening in Becker.

Senior forward Nicole Anderson tallied 25 points and junior guard Jenna Morrell added 20 for the Bulldogs (3-6 conference, 7-13 overall).

The Royals (3-, 9-12), who beat Becker 54-21 on Jan. 3, needed a late 3-pointer to tie this one  52-52 and force overtime.
Jordyn Motter sank 16 points and Lindsey Dorr 10 for the Royals.

Coach Jeremy Digiovanni blamed “lackluster defense, too many turnovers o nofffense, and a stout effort from the pesky homestanding Bulldogs” for his team trailing most of the game.
