In an effort to raise public awareness and improve services for those with Parkinson’s disease in the Elk River area, a free seminar will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1.
Rose Wichmann, manager of Struthers Parkinson’s Center out of Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, will provide an update on Parkinson’s disease symptoms, treatment, and practical strategies for coping with common challenges.
There will be time for questions and discussion, including information about the formation of a new Parkinson’s support group in Elk River.
The event is open to the public and will be held at the Elk River Senior Center, 350 Evans Ave., Elk River.
