Foggy weather, icy roads lead to 92 crashes in 24-hour span
Over the last 24 hours, many regions of Minnesota have been experiencing very foggy weather along with icy roads. Minnesota State Troopers have responded to 92 crashes all over the state during this period ending at 10 a.m. on Feb. 3.
Fourteen of those resulted in injuries; three of those were reported as serious. Three of those crashes also involved fatalities.
Motorists are reminded during times of fog or any inclement weather to turn their headlights on, pay attention and slow down. Sgt. Jesse Grabow of the Minnesota State Patrol said, “Hazards can present themselves anywhere and slowing down can help prevent another crash.”
