Despite lack of snow, Winterfest will go on

Despite the lack of snow, Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge’s Winterfest event will go on. Rides will be by horse-drawn wagon, rather than sleigh. A nature hike and scavenger hunt will be on foot, rather than snowshoes.
There also will be a live owls as well as booths, displays, food and much more.
Winterfest runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the refuge. The main event site will be south of the old school house off County Road 9, 5.5 miles west of Highway 169.
