Elk River notched the first two goals and held on to topple No. 12 ranked Blaine 3-2 there Saturday.
The Elks were outshot 47-35 but led throughout after Garrett Aldrich scored at 6:19 and Andrew Zerban at 8:54 in the first period.
Assisting were Chase Springman and Ryan Heid in the first goal, and Colton Budreau and Austin Larson on the second.
Tyler Cline got one for Blaine at 16:16 of the first, but Larson made it 3-1 with a goal at 4:35 of the second, assisted by Nick McCormack and Zerban.
Joey Lau connected for Blaine at 10:40 of the second and that would close the scoring.
Elk goalie Anders Franke stopped 45 of 47 shots, and Bengal goalie Nick Malvin turned away 32 of 35.
The Elks, who lost to Blaine 3-1 on Dec, 10, are 7-4-1 in conference and 10-7-2 overall. Blaine is 9-4-0 and 11-7-0.
The Elks will host Andover on Tuesday.
