Elk River-Zimmemran had to settle for a 2-2 tie with Armstrong/Cooper on a Friday evening when all-time scoring leader Jonna Curtis was honored.
Cooper is 2-12-2 in the NWSC but knotted up the second-place Elks, now 12-2-2 in conference and 17-3-2 overall. The Elks beat the Falcons 5-2 on Dec. 17.
Josie Brown and Abby Kratzke had the goals for the Elks.
Curtis, who became the Elks career points leader earlier this season, was presented with a plaque between periods.
The Elks beat play at Blaine on Tuesday.
