Hockey: Rogers girls trip Mound-Westonka 3-2

The Rogers Royals edged Mound-Westonka 3-2 on Tuesday evening at home, their second win this season over the No. 7 ranked White Hawks.

Emily Antony notched the first two Rogers goals and assisted when Kaitlyn Braiedy game them a 3-2 lead 5:14 into the second period. Braiedy and Madison Lehn assisted on Antony’s first goal.

Abby Brustad knocked in two goals for the White Hawks.

Rogers goalie Becca Leshovsky stopped 27 of 29 shots, and M-W goalie Samantha Scoby stopped 19 of 22.

No. 10 ranked Rogers (12-8-1) also beat the White Hawks (14-6-1) 1-0 on Dec. 20.

Rogers will play at Cambridge-Isanti on Friday.
