Basketball: Thunder girls lose at Howard Lake 71-51

Two guards dominated play as Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted handed Zimmerman a 71-51 loss on Friday evening.

Heather Lehrner tallied 25 points and Abby Miller 19 for the Lakes (11-3).

For Zimmerman (5-11), Heather McCormick hit 14 points, Jami Schuster 11, and Melissa Dorn 8.

Zimmerman will host Foley on Tuesday.
