David Howard Jacobson, 64, of Fergus Falls, formerly of Elk River, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at his home.
He was born March 26, 1947, in Anoka to Simon and Betsy (Williams) Jacobson. He grew up and attended school in Elk River, graduating from Elk River High School in 1965. He attended college at Mankato State University.
He began his work in sales with Midwest Marketing, working there until 1985, when he started his own company, Forty-Four Inc.
Mr. Jacobson was a member of the American Legion, Eagles, and Moccasin Valley Camp Board. He had a passion for hockey, hunting, fishing, and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle, of Fergus Falls; son, Greg (Cubbie) of Ramsey and their daughters, Samantha and Skyler; daughter, Kristin (Steve) Girard of Brunswick, Ohio and their sons, JD, Renn, Samuel, Gus, and Luke; mother-in-law, Dorothy Sundberg of Brainerd; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Linda Johnson and Ruth Bistodeau; brother-in-law, Richard Bistodeau; and father-in-law, Harry Sundberg.
Memorials are preferred to the Lake Region Healthcare Cancer Care and Research Center.
