Spectrum homecoming week features basketball, wrestling events

Spectrum High School will host a wrestling quadrangular on Thursday and a basketball doubleheader on Friday as part of homecoming week.

The Elk River charter school celebrates homecoming in winter because it doesn’t have football.

The wrestlers will duel  Minneapolis Edison, Hinckley-Finlayson, and St. Agnes, in action beginning 5 p.m. This will be the first home meet in the new gym that opened in December.

North Metro Blazers will be the basketball opponents on Friday, girls at 6:30 p.m. and boys at 8 p.m. Homecoming royalty will be introduced during the girls game. The Spectrum dance team will perform at halftime of the boys game.
