Basketball: Mora star hits 38 in 67-44 win over Thunder girls

The Zimmerman Thunder had no answer for Mora’s Noelle Elveheim as they lost to the first-place Mustangs 67-44 at home Friday evening.

The junior center poured in 38 points as Mora improved to 5-0 in the Granite Ridge and 8-2 overall. Kirsten Pollema added 13.

Lexi Wiemeri netted 19 points for Zimmerman (1-4 conference, 5-9 overall). Kaitlyn Mason was next with seven.

The Thunder will host Delano on Monday.
