Hockey: Rogers boys stymie Buffalo 5-1

Bryan Jungels knocked in two power-play goals as the Rogers Royals beat the Buffalo Bison 5-1 on Thursday evening in Buffalo.

Zach Hnath, Andrew Smith and Nate Weber had the other goals for the Royals, now 2-0 in the Mississippi 8 and 8-5 overall. Making two assists each were Andrew Smith, Neal Smith and Hnath.

Sam Klein had the goal for Buffalo (2-2, 4-9), in the third period.

Robby Vukelich made 29 saves forĀ  Buffalo. Blake Schmidt stopped 27 of 32 forĀ  Buffalo.

The Bison will host Sartell-St. Stephen on Saturday, 7 p.m.
