The Spectrum girls basketball team picked up its first-ever victory, 60-44 over FAIR School, at home on Thursday evening.
Shelby Eden led with 26 points, with all 10 Sting players seeing action and contributing.
Sydney Blake scored 12 points, Holly Mickelson 6, Rebekah Make 5, Rebecca Schultz 4, Beca Gleason 4, and Noelle Dieman 3.
The Sting (1-12) led by two points late in the first half before eight-grader Blake, in here first varsity start, hit a 3-point shot, as did Eden, to help open a 12-point halftime lead. Blake, Diana Salisbury, Joelle Emmel and Kassidi Robbins were defensive sparks.
Jayla Jackson scored 23 point for FAIR (0-9), a downtown Minneapolis charter school.
Spectrum will play at St. Croix Prep on Tuesday, and will host North Metro next Friday for Homecoming.
